Ref #: C-PT-Location: Garden Grove, CA Type: Contract/Travel Start: ASAP Duration: 13 weeksSchedule: Sun-Sat, 08:00 AM-04:30 PMRate: Travel: $1,995/35 hrs; Local: $1,967/35 hrsOverviewWe're looking for a dedicated Physical Therapist to join the team in Garden Grove for a 13-week contract. You'll be providing hands-on care, creating individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to help patients regain independence and improve quality of life.Required QualificationsActive and valid state Physical Therapy licenseCurrent CPR and BLS certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross (with AED)What you'll doPerform thorough physical assessments, review medical histories, and consult with colleagues to understand each patient's needs.Create and implement individualized treatment plans with clear, measurable rehabilitation goals.Design exercise programs to build strength, flexibility, endurance, and coordination.Use manual techniques-joint mobilization, soft tissue work, and stretching-to improve mobility and reduce pain.Apply therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, heat, and cold to support pain relief and tissue healing.Train patients in using assistive devices (crutches, canes, walkers, wheelchairs) to enhance mobility and safety.Teach patients and families about diagnoses, treatment plans, body mechanics, ergonomics, and injury prevention.Develop and adjust pain management strategies using therapeutic exercise, modalities, and manual therapy.Help patients recover independence after surgery, injury, or illness by targeting functional goals.Regularly assess and document patient progress, modifying plans as needed to meet goals.Communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other team members to coordinate care.Provide tailored home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery outside of sessions.Maintain accurate, timely documentation of assessments, treatments, progress notes, and any changes in patient condition.Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, including confidentiality and informed consent.Practice cultural sensitivity and adapt care to meet the diverse needs of your patients.Perform other duties as assigned by management.If you're motivated to make a meaningful difference and meet the qualifications above, this role offers a fast-paced opportunity to impact patient recovery in a supportive, multidisciplinary setting.
