Locum Tenens CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) - General Anesthesia Lexington, KY -Week Assignment Join a high-acuity, hospital-based anesthesia practice as a locum tenens CRNA in a Level 1 trauma environment. This Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist travel assignment supports a broad surgical mix in a medically directed care team alongside anesthesiologists, residents, CRNAs, and anesthesia techs. Locum Tenens CRNA Job Details (Lexington, KY) Position Type: Locum tenens (travel assignment) Location: Lexington, KY 40536 Start Date: 05/18/2026 End Date: 08/17/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Schedule: Full-time; must be available every week (available 4 weeks/month) Schedule Preference: 4x10 is the standard schedule; may consider full-time schedules of 8s, 10s, or 12s based on department needs Preferred Shift: Days, 07:00-17:30 (30-minute lunch) Shift Duration: 10-hour days Hours Per Week: 40 Patient Volume: Approximately 1-9 cases/day (varies) Patient Population: All ages (no neonatal) Practice Setting: Hospital-based, Level 1 trauma environment EMR: Epic (preferred) Credentialing/Privileging: Typically 90-120 days (often closer to 120); no temporary/emergency privileges CRNA Job Requirements Certification: Active NBCRNA certification Licensure: Kentucky CRNA/APRN license required (open to licensing) Experience: Minimum 1 year CRNA experience (no new graduates) Recent Experience: Recent experience in a large medical center setting required Preferred Experience: Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience strongly preferred Required Skills: Intubation, arterial line placement, central line placement, invasive line placement Flexibility: Must be willing to work NORA (Non-Operating Room Anesthesia) Case Scope Notes: No OB; blocks not likely required Responsibilities (General Anesthesia / Hospital-Based) Deliver safe, high-quality anesthesia care for cases including Orthopedics, Trauma, Vascular, and Neuro (no cardiac) Practice within a medically directed anesthesia care team model (commonly 2:1 or 3:1; may vary by acuity) Perform airway management and invasive monitoring procedures in accordance with patient safety standards Provide anesthesia coverage across OR and NORA locations based on daily operational needs Document pre-op assessment, intra-op management, and post-anesthesia care accurately in the EMR Collaborate with anesthesiologists, residents, CRNAs, and anesthesia techs to support efficient patient flow Apply now to join our anesthesia care team and be considered for this locum tenens CRNA job in Lexington, KY (40536).
