Our outpatient vascular surgery center in Newport Richey, FL is expanding, and we are excited to add a CRNA to our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to join us as we launch a new service line focused on cardiac ablations.We are hiring for a full time CRNA whose schedule will be shared between our busy cardiology practice and our surgery center. We are also seeking a per diem CRNA dedicated solely to the surgery center.In this role, you ll collaborate closely with employees, physicians, management, patients, families, visitors, and external service partners. Because of this, we re seeking someone who is not only clinically strong but also an exceptional communicator.The ideal candidate consistently demonstrates a friendly, supportive, and respectful approach, and interacts with others in a cooperative and highly professional manner.LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS: Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist Certification.EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:Graduate of accredited nurse anesthesia programTwo (2) years of anesthesia care in acute setting experience preferredValid Florida state RN License (must meet education requirement(s) for state licensure)Valid state APRN Recognition (must meet education requirement (s) for state recognition and obtain within six (6) months of hire)Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA)Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) We highly value experience within a Cath Lab setting.ELIGIBILITY: Must be able to provide proof of identity and their right to work in the United States.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:Under the directions of the physician the CRNA will:Provides pre-anesthetic preparation and patient evaluation.Ensures patient identification and obtains appropriate health history.Documents pre-anesthetic evaluation.Obtains informed consent for anesthesia.Selects and/or administers pre-anesthetic medications.Selects prepares and administers anesthetic agents or other agents administered in management of anesthetic care.Informs anesthesiologist and/or surgeon of changes in patient s condition.Provides anesthesia induction, maintenance, emergence, and post anesthesia care.Inserts invasive line catheter/devices.Performs tracheal intubation and extubation, airway management.Provides mechanical ventilation.Performs venous and arterial punctures.Manages patient s fluid, blood, electrolyte, and acid base balance.Provides peri-anesthetic invasive & non-invasive monitoring utilizing current standards and techniques.Responds to abnormal findings with corrective action.Recognizes and treats cardiac dysrhythmias through use of peri-anesthetic electrocardiogram monitoring.Evaluates patient response during emergence from anesthesia. Institutes pharmacological or supportive treatment to insure adequacy of patient recovery from anesthesia and adjuvant drugs.Provides post anesthesia follow-up, report, and evaluation of patient s response to anesthesia and for potential anesthetic complication.Identifies and manages emergency situations. Initiates or participates in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.COMPETENCIES:Knowledge of sedation medications.Accuracy Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. • Communication Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.Computer Skills Proficient ability to use a computer and EMR.Confidentiality Maintain patient, team member, employer confidentiality.
