Lyte is headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, with a global presence. For more information, visit The RoleWe're building advanced robotics systems end-to-end, and we're looking for an Electrical Engineering Lead to own the electrical backbone of our products. This is a senior, high-impact role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys turning rough ideas into working hardware, and is comfortable switching between whiteboard architecture, lab debug, and team leadership. You will define the electrical architecture of our robotics platforms, lead board-level development across multiple programs, and help scale our hardware organization as we move from early prototypes to production. This role has scope up to Director level and is ideal for someone who wants both deep technical ownership and leadership influence in a growing startup. What Youll DoOwn electrical system architecture from concept through production for robotics platforms Turn product ideas into block diagrams, interface definitions, and electrical requirements Lead the design and development of main logic boards (MLBs) and control boards, test and characterization boards (SoCs, FPGAs, analog front ends, testing ASICs, multi-chip packages), interface boards including high-speed and networking connections to NVIDIA Jetson SOMs and FPGA SOMs, and advanced prototypes Define and review high-speed interfaces (PCIe, USB, Ethernet, 10/25GBASE-T1/T, etc.) with strong attention to SI/PI and robustness Architect power systems (PMICs, DC-DCs, sequencing, protection, power trees) for dense, performance-critical designs Oversee schematic capture and PCB layout (in-house or outsourced), ensuring designs are debuggable, testable, and manufacturable Drive board bring-up, debugging, and validation in the lab—hands-on when needed Build and own development plans: schedules, risks, vendor selection, and trade-off decisions Work closely with mechanical, firmware, FPGA, systems, manufacturing, and supply chain teams Mentor and potentially manage EE and FPGA engineers as the team grows Help transition designs from prototype to production and volume shipment Required QualificationsBachelor's degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related field 10+ years of industry experience in electrical engineering with increasing technical responsibility Proven track record of shipping complex hardware products Strong experience with high-speed interfaces and networking, including: PCIe, USB, Ethernet (5/10/25GBASE-T), NICs, PHYs, SPI, I²C, and other control interfaces Deep knowledge of data converters and timing (ADCs, DACs, clocks, clock distribution) Strong background in power management (PMICs, DC-DCs, sequencing, power integrity) Experience leading PCB design efforts (rigid and rigid-flex) and working closely with layout engineers Ability to operate in ambiguity and quickly turn high-level goals into clear, actionable designs Comfortable owning decisions and moving fast without heavy process overhead Preferred QualificationsExperience in high-performance hardware environments such as Apple, GoPro, or similar Background in robotics, consumer electronics, datacenter, automotive, or networking systems Experience shipping products at scale (consumer, robotics, or infrastructure) Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson platforms, FPGA-based systems, and heterogeneous compute architectures Prior experience mentoring or managing engineers in a growing team Strong intuition for DFM, DFT, reliability, and cost trade-offs in startup environments BenefitsCompetitive salary and equity Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) retirement plan Flexible vacation and time-off policy Collaborative, fast-paced, and inclusive work environment Opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies with a highly cross-functional team The pay range for this role is 150,000 - 300,000 USD per year (Bay Area, CA).#J-18808-Ljbffr
