Role Summary We are building a pioneering organization advancing the next generation of Edge AI and Physical AI heterogeneous compute SoCs. We are seeking a Staff Edge AI SoC Performance Architect to own system ‑ level performance modeling and architectural exploration, directly influencing top ‑ level SoC design decisions. In this role, you will lead end ‑ to ‑ end performance, power, area, and latency (PPAL) analysis across multiple architectural configurations. You will develop and validate multi ‑ fidelity models from functional and transaction ‑ level to cycle ‑ accurate and translate modeling insights into clear hardware, firmware, and software requirements. This is a staff ‑ level technical leadership role with broad cross ‑ functional impact, partnering closely with architecture, RTL, analog, software, and external IP teams to shape a highly efficient edge ‑ compute SoC. Key Responsibilities: • Own end ‑ to ‑ end SoC performance modeling, from early functional and power estimation to cycle ‑ accurate simulation and emulation. • Develop and maintain multi ‑ fidelity models (SystemC, C/C++, Python) that balance accuracy, speed, and scalability. • Integrate multi ‑ processor systems and heterogeneous AI compute paradigms into a coherent system ‑ level simulation. • Drive architecture exploration and quantitative trade ‑ off analysis across compute, memory, NoC, data paths, and AI accelerators. • Evaluate and integrate third ‑ party compute simulators and IP performance models into the overall modeling strategy. • Translate performance analysis into detailed architecture specifications and design recommendations. • Define and own benchmark strategy for representative AI and ML workloads. • Ensure model accuracy and correlation, demonstrating projected PPAL outcomes and sensitivity to architectural choices. • Define performance requirements and specifications for IP blocks, processors, firmware, and AI subsystems. • Partner with analog and digital teams to integrate real performance data, improving model fidelity and confidence. • Collaborate on RTL + SystemVerilog simulation and emulation, enabling effective HW/SW/AI co ‑ design. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship on modeling best practices across the team. Minimum Qualifications: • Master’s degree in computer engineering , Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. • 7+ years of experience in SoC performance modeling (Synopsis Platform Architect) and system ‑ level architecture. • Strong experience building functional, transaction ‑ level, and cycle ‑ accurate models for complex SoCs. • Hands ‑ on experience with SystemC and strong programming skills in C/C++, with Python used for modeling, analysis, or automation. • Experience modeling heterogeneous systems combining processors, NoC, memory subsystems, and AI accelerators. • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across architecture, RTL, analog, and software teams. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts.
