Saint Peter's University Hospital is looking to hire a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) Hospitalist for the L&D and PET OB/GYN coverage.The certified nurse midwife (CNM) will:Function independently but in collaboration with the attending physician and interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide midwifery services to patientsResponsible for the assessment, plan, implementation, and evaluation of nurse midwifery care delivered to the antepartum, intrapartum and post-partum and newborn patients as wellProvide services on varying shifts within the department in Labor and Delivery, PET Unit.Care for intrapartum patients at the hospital in Labor and Delivery, PET and as needed by the Ob/Gyn physician team.Community HighlightsThriving area that has experienced a dramatic transformation in the past few decades. New Brunswick's robust downtown area, sitting along the Raritan River, provides a walkable, urban setting with bustling restaurants, bars, grocery stores, arts, entertainment, and it's the home of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey.Enjoy fine cuisine as you walk these historical streetsHome to several theatres including the State Theatre, museums, and local marketsCentrally located with access to access to New York City and PhiladelphiaRequirements:Graduation from a nurse-midwifery education program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME) (formerly known as the American College of Nurse-Midwives Division of Accreditation)Master's or doctoral degreeCurrent CDS and DEA requiredCurrent active certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board or be actively seeking initial certification and obtain the same on the first certification for which they are eligible.Current active licensure to practice as a Certified Nurse Midwife in the nurse midwife category as per the New Jersey State Board of Medical Examiners.STABLE Program Certification preferred.Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certified.Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.Neonatal Resuscitation Provider I (NRP) certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association. NRP II (Neonatal Resuscitation Provider II) certification to be obtained during clinical orientation.Schedule: 10 & 12-hour shifts (days & nights) Rotating schedule.
