Ref #: C-LPN-We're looking for a reliable LPN to join a short-term contract in Keene, NH. This is a 9-week travel assignment starting ASAP with an evening shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM). The position pays $1,832 per 40-hour week.What we need from youAn active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse license for the state.Current BLS certification.What you'll be doingYou'll provide hands-on nursing care under RN or physician guidance, focusing on safety, comfort, and thorough documentation. Typical duties include:Administering medications and treatments accurately and following facility protocols.Performing patient assessments - reviewing histories, conducting basic physical exams, and helping build individualized care plans.Monitoring and recording vital signs and any changes in patient condition.Managing wounds and dressings, watching for signs of infection or complications.Starting, maintaining, and monitoring IVs and IV medications when required.Caring for urinary catheters, including insertion, maintenance, and surveillance for problems.Collecting specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing.Teaching patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and self-care to support recovery and wellness.Promoting preventive care, such as vaccinations and screenings, and assisting with health assessments.Responding quickly to emergencies and providing basic life support as needed.Following strict infection-control practices - hand hygiene, PPE use, and safe disposal of medical waste.Maintaining accurate patient records of treatments, medications, and changes in status.Working closely with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs, and other staff to ensure coordinated care.Occasionally supervising CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel, when applicable.Performing other tasks as assigned by management.Why this role mattersYou'll be a key part of the care team, helping patients feel safer and more comfortable while ensuring treatments are delivered correctly.
