Ref #: C-PT-Location: Lanham, MD Job Type: Full-time Start Date: ASAP Schedule: 08:00 AM-04:30 PMOverview:We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Lanham. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, supervise support staff and students as permitted by state regulations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.Minimum Qualifications:Current Physical Therapy license in the practicing state(s) or documentation of eligibility.Master's degree in Physical Therapy; or Master's degree in a related field plus a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy; or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy with at least 5 years of PT experience.Valid driver's license or reliable transportation.Key Responsibilities:Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel in accordance with state licensure and professional standards.Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning, documenting all services and progress. Treatments may include therapeutic exercise (aerobic, balance, coordination, strength, flexibility), functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance, integumentary repair, electrotherapeutic and mechanical modalities, and health/wellness education.Assess impairments, set measurable treatment goals, perform routine re-examinations, and modify or progress plans as needed.Deliver case management, chronic disease management, fall risk assessment and intervention, and community/home mobility evaluations with safety recommendations.Select and instruct patients in mobility skills and therapeutic activities appropriate to their physical and cognitive capacities; monitor and document progress and behavior.Coordinate referrals to other disciplines and community agencies when required.Participate in patient care conferences, staffing meetings, and department activities; adhere to treatment schedules and timely clinical/billing documentation.Maintain a safe clinical environment, identify and mitigate fire/safety hazards, and ensure compassionate service to patients and families.Order, maintain, clean, and report repair needs for equipment and supplies.Perform other duties as assigned by management.We welcome candidates who demonstrate clinical excellence, strong communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered rehabilitation.
