Ref #: C-SLP-Location: Santa Barbara, CAPosition type: Contract/TravelStart date: ASAPDuration: 14 weeksSchedule: Sun-Sat, 08:00 AM-04:30 PMRate: Travel: $2,244/35 hrs; Local: $2,212/35 hrsRequirements:Valid, active Speech-Language Pathologist state licenseResponsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.Diagnose type and severity using clinical evaluations and diagnostic tools.Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.Provide therapy for articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language.Evaluate and treat dysphagia; implement safe swallowing strategies.Recommend and train patients/families on augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) as needed.Educate patients and families on home strategies and therapeutic exercises.Monitor, document, and modify treatment based on patient progress.Maintain accurate, current patient records (assessments, plans, progress notes).Collaborate with physicians, therapists, educators, and other team members for coordinated care.Support patients in generalizing improved communication skills to daily, school, or work environments.Participate in professional development to stay current in the field.Perform other duties as assigned by management.
