Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine in Houston, TX Join an esteemed practice dedicated to providing exceptional care to veterans. This position focuses on conducting Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, contributing significantly to the health and well-being of our nation's heroes.With the choice of working from your own office or at a local facility, this role offers flexibility and the chance to serve those who have served us. The position is a PRN arrangement, allowing for both half-day and full-day shifts. Job Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive interviews and physical assessments, focusing on range of motion and muscle strength testing. Perform one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments. Complete required reports and any necessary addendums accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain a current home address for presentation purposes. Participate in DMA training to become DMA certified. Engage in ongoing professional development and training as needed. Qualifications: Proficiency in METs testing, evaluating, and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions. Possess a laptop (no Mac/Apple products). Current AANP certification. Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas. Experience in family medicine, internal medicine, or general medicine preferred. Background in Compensation and Pension assessments will be a plus. License and Certification Requirements: Active Texas Nurse Practitioner license. AANP certification is required.
