Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician and make a meaningful difference in patients' lives during their most vulnerable times. This vital role offers an opportunity to provide compassionate, expert care through both telehealth and in-person visits, supporting patients and their families with dignity and respect. Key Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive hospice and palliative care services via telehealth and in-person consultations.Provide symptom management, care coordination, and crisis intervention for a diverse patient population.Participate in after-hours call rotations, including nights and weekends, with shared coverage between Portland and Medford.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans.Ensure compliance with all regulatory and licensure requirements.Required Skills: Valid Oregon Medical License, Oregon DEA, Washington License, and Washington DEA in hand.Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM), with significant hospice experience if BE.Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced settings.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage complex patient cases effectively.Nice to Have Skills: Prior experience in hospice or palliative care.Experience with telehealth platforms.BLS certification.Additional certifications in pain management or end-of-life care.Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree from an accredited institution.Completion of residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine within the last five years.Minimum of 2 years of hospice or palliative care experience preferred.Other Requirements: Availability to work scheduled hours (8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday).Flexibility to take night and weekend call as part of shared coverage.Willingness to travel within designated service areas if required.Availability of licensure and certification documentation upon request.This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in hospice and palliative medicine while making a profound impact on patient care.
