Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner

Nurse Practitioner-Hospitalist Acute Nocturnist Renown Health is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our Hospitalist Medicine team, providing acute inpatient care during night shift hours. This position plays a key role in delivering high quality, evidence based care within a collaborative hospitalist model. The role also supports Renown s academic mission through its affiliations with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine and the Orvis School of Nursing, contributing to a culture of teaching, innovation, and clinical excellence. Position Highlights Comprehensive inpatient assessments including admissions and cross coverage Collaboration with hospitalists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care Management of acute changes in patient condition with appropriate escalation Participation in quality and academic initiatives aligned with Renown and UNR Full time night shift schedule Competitive compensation with shift differential Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement, CME Key Responsibilities Provide inpatient evaluation and management for adult acute care patients Perform admissions, cross coverage, and clinical decision making in collaboration with the hospitalist team Coordinate care with nursing, specialists, and ancillary services Document accurately in the EMR and ensure continuity of care Respond to rapid changes in patient status with confidence and clinical skill Qualifications Master s or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited program Current or eligible Nevada APRN license National board certification (AGACNP preferred; FNP with acute experience considered) Acute care or hospital medicine experience preferred Ability to work independently during night shifts Join Us If you re a motivated PA who wants to make a meaningful impact in acute inpatient care while enjoying the quality of life Reno offers, we d love to meet you.
