Neonatology Nurse Practitioner

Job Title: Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology Join a dynamic team at a well-respected Level III NICU located in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Be part of a collaborative Neonatology team dedicated to providing specialized inpatient care for neonatal patients. Job Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive inpatient care to neonates in a Level III NICU. Perform neonatal assessments, daily rounds, and ongoing management of critically ill and premature infants. Collaborate closely with on-staff Neonatologists for patient care planning and management. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate care with nursing and ancillary teams. Utilize Epic EMR for accurate and timely documentation. Provide family education and counseling regarding neonatal conditions and treatment plans. Support stabilization and ongoing management of high-risk newborns. Work a flexible schedule consisting of 24-hour, 10-hour, and 8-hour shifts. Practice within a structured, team-based environment (not autonomous practice). Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and quality standards. Qualifications: Successful completion of an accredited NNP program. Board Certified in Neonatal NP / NNP (by time of start). Active Michigan state license. BLS Certification. NRP Certification. Ability to work varied 24-, 10-, and 8-hour shifts. EMR experience (Epic preferred). Willingness to complete 3 4 month credentialing process. Clean malpractice and license history. Most recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days active). License and Certification Requirements: Active Michigan state license. BLS Certification.
