Locum - Nurse Practitioner - General Medicine AK Join a dynamic and vital healthcare team as a Locum Nurse Practitioner specializing in General Medicine in Alaska. This influential role offers you the opportunity to serve Veterans through non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, making a real difference in the lives of those who have served our country. Engage in flexible, short-term assignments that allow you to utilize your medical expertise while maintaining your independence and work-life balance. Required Skills: Valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of AlaskaProven clinical experience in general medicine or related fieldsStrong interview and physical assessment skills, including range of motion and muscle strength testingExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to perform detailed documentation and report submission for examsFamiliarity with VA or military healthcare systems preferredNice to Have Skills: Prior experience with Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams or military veteran assessmentsAdditional certifications in relevant specialtiesExperience working independently and managing flexible schedulesComfort with remote credentialing and onboarding processesPreferred Education and Experience: Master's degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited institutionMinimum of 2 years clinical experience as a Nurse PractitionerPrevious participation in government healthcare programs or veteran health services is advantageousOther Requirements: Own office setup with reliable internet and necessary workspace (for candidates in Juneau, Sitka, or Delta Junction within specified radii)Ability to work half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shiftsWillingness to complete required training and initial exams promptlyNo travel reimbursements outside initial rates; no billing or bill rate concernsStart date: February 2, 2026Enjoy competitive pay at $402.00 per hour, weekly direct deposit payments, comprehensive W-2 medical benefits, and ongoing support from a dedicated team committed to your success.
