Family Practice/Primary Care Nurse Practitioner

Location: Burlington Status: Full Time Schedule: Clinic hours are 8:00 AM 8:00 PM Mon - Fri and 8:00 AM - 2:00PM Sat - Sun Two - Three 12 hour shifts per week with shorter 6-hour shifts every other weekendCompensation: $60 $80/hour (based on experience) + productivity bonus Benefits: Full-benefits package availableSign On Bonus: $5000.00 Position Summary We are seeking a Full Time clinician to join our team in Burlington. This role is ideal for clinicians who value variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while practicing in a fast paced, well supported urgent care environment. The work is engaging and varied, with a broad patient population and generally low acuity presentations that keep skills sharp without the pressure of inpatient follow-up. Key Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care settingManage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visitsOrder and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imagingPerform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management (as applicable)Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructionsDocument patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHRCode and bill services appropriatelyMaintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarksPractice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values Required Qualifications Active, unrestricted NC license for NP PA Board certification or eligibility, as applicablePA: NCCPA certificationNP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)Ability to treat patients of all agesActive BLS certificationEHR proficiencyWillingness to work occasional weekends and holidaysDOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered) Preferred Qualifications Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast track experienceStrong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)Experience with initial x ray interpretation prior to radiology over read About NextCare NextCare is one of the nation's largest urgent care providers, serving communities with accessible, affordable, high quality care across 160+ locations in 11 states.
