Collects comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health/situation and unit-specific data for process improvement initiatives. Develops, individualizes, and prioritizes the patient's plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and health team members. Implements identified plans for patients and unit-specific process improvement with appropriate nursing interventions and physician orders in an accurate, timely manner. Considers factors related to safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice in the delivery of nursing services. Schedule: Nights Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * The Float Pool RN will display proficient clinical skills and critical thinking skills with strong communication skills. [Required] * Mental and emotional stability, demonstrating a courteous and calm approach to all contacts with patients, visitors, and health care team members. [Required] * Ability to learn and apply computer-related applications and programs, including using electronic keyboards and other peripheral devices. [Required] * Critical thinking/problem-solving skills. [Required] * Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age-appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department. [Required] * Basic computer skills. [Required] * Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills. [Required] * Previous experience with electronic medical record systems preferred. * Previous EKG Interpretation Class preferred.
