Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)ASPIRE VETERINARY CENTER is looking to hire an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our team (part- or full-time). Key Responsibilities:Perform an initial examination of the patient, including physical examination, medical history, vital signs, and radiographs.Perform various technical procedures including anesthesia support and monitoring, intubation, intravenous catheter placement, venipuncture, intravenous injections, wound management, drug administration assistance, bandage care, surgery support, and various routine diagnostic testing.Prepare animals and equipment for diagnostic, medical, and surgical procedures.Collect and perform laboratory procedures on blood, stool, urine, and tissue samples.Educate clients on patient care.Generate and explain client treatment plans and estimates.Perform dental procedures (e.g. prophylactic cleaning and polishing, chart dentition, dental extractions which are within the scope of an RVT, dental radiographs).Operate, maintain, and sterilize surgical, dental and other technical equipment (e.g. EKG, fluid pump, syringe pump, scales, anesthetic monitors and machines).Perform nail trims, express anal glands, and remove sutures.Perform ear cleanings and minor flushes.
