We use high-tech CNC equipment to fabricate tons of structural steel every year.We are hiring a Cost Accountant to support the Controller and Operations Manager in financial reporting, monthly closings, budgeting, process improvement, and cost analysis to drive operational efficiency and informed decision-making.Why join us?Competitive base salary + bonus401k with a company matchPTO / Paid Holidays / Sick PayExcellent medical, dental, and vision benefits+ More!Job DetailsKey Responsibilities:Assist with monthly financial close and plant financial statement preparationAnalyze financial and project performance to identify cost drivers and improvement opportunitiesMonitor and support MRO spending controlSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processesMaintain fixed assets and capital expenditure reportingContribute to audit preparation and compliancePrepare plant and project/job profitability reportsDrive process improvements and support special projectsRequirements:Solid understanding of GAAP; knowledge of construction/project accounting is a plusExperience with standard costing and job costingStrong analytical and Excel skillsEffective communicator with sound business judgmentSelf-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environmentInterested in hearing more?
