Schedule: PRN Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 9949 S OSWEGO ST City: PARKER State: Colorado Postal Code: 80134 Job Description: Assesses patient's physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and review of medical records and clinical data. Develops and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, observing outcomes in accordance with nursing standards. Demonstrates competency in therapeutic and diagnostic interventions, including IVs, wound care, medication administration, catheterization, and specimen collection. Advocates for and protects the health, safety, and rights of each patient. Provides patient and family education based on assessment of learning readiness, needs, and ability, and evaluates the effectiveness of teaching. Recognizes the patient or designee as a full partner in providing compassionate and coordinated care based on respect for the patient's preferences, values, and needs. Delivers relationship-based care, engaging patients in all aspects of care with respect for cultural differences and diversity. Delegates tasks to non-RN personnel in accordance with State Board of Nursing and hospital policy. Maintains thorough patient charts and records and documents ongoing status, interventions, patient response and outcomes in an accurate, timely manner. Manages resources and patient flow by matching nursing competencies with individualized patient and unit needs. Uses standards of care, hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to guide practice. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Organizational skills * Effective verbal and interpersonal communication * Proficient in customer relations * Strong grammar and spelling abilities * Ability to read and comprehend written instructions * Capable of following verbal instructions * Manual keyboarding skills * Proficient in using computer and visual interfaces * Able to learn and comprehend specialized software, such as hemodynamic monitoring software * Quick learner with the ability to follow departmental policies and procedures efficiently * Experience with Windows operating system * Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, including the circulatory and neuro systems * Maintains all required registries and licenses for performing Invasive Cardiology procedures * Skilled in operating x-ray equipment and knowledgeable in placing service calls * Adheres to Basic Radiation Safety concepts to minimize exposure levels for patients and staff * Capable of learning and becoming independent in various roles such as scrub, record, and circulate positions for Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiovascular cases * Experience in operating equipment across various Invasive Cardiology labs * Assists in the efficient patient flow through Invasive Cardiology areas * Participates in training new employees after achieving independence in each position * Documents and reports all procedures accurately and legibly in accordance with department policies * Basic Life Support Certification * Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification * Competency in Moderate Sedation * Recent acute care experience and EKG competency * Knowledge of critical care medication * Excellent assessment skills * Knowledge of medications administered pre, intra, and post-procedure * Ability to multitask effectively and manage time efficiently during patient preparation and discharge processes * Critical care skills * Proficient in charting and recording Education: * Associate's of Nursing [Required] * Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred] Work Experience: * A minimum of 1 year of recent Cath lab experience [Required] Licenses and Certifications: * Registered Nurse (RN) [Required] * Basic Life Support Cert (BLS) from the AHA [Required] * Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Required] * Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) [Preferred] Physical Requirements: (Please click the link below to view work requirements) Physical Requirements - Pay Range: $35.04 - $65.17 This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
