To learn more about the practice, please visit our website at LOCATION DETAILS Gastro MD Tampa Office GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIESResponsible for providing medical assistance to patients in office and in hospital, and receives training and direction from practice physicians. RESPONSIBILITIESDuties include but are not limited to Running daily GI outpatient clinic Accurately providing and counseling patients with information for medical treatment or procedures Answering emails and voicemails and returning patient calls in a timely and efficient manner Abiding by and promoting HIPAA compliance; maintaining strictest confidentiality with regards to patient information REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCEMaster of Medical Science, Physician Assistant or Master of Science in Nursing, Nurse Practitioner required, adult or acute care Nurse Practitioner. GI experience preferred, however, new graduates are welcome to apply. Must be computer literate and able to operate Practice Management software and multiple Microsoft Office applications. ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEAPP must be able to: Provide a high level of quality patient care and customer service at all times Work under pressure; assess, respond to, and communicate issues in a timely manner Maintain composure and set a professional example to patients and coworkers Communicate clearly with patients and coworkers through the telephone, email, and in person Interpret and apply clinical and non-clinical policies and procedures PHYSICAL/MENTAL/ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSRequires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment; travel as business needs dictate.
