Job Details Assignment Type: Locum tenens (contract position) Job Title / Role: CRNA / Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist - Orthopedic Anesthesia Location: Fort Myers, FL 33912 (Southwest Florida) Setting: Ambulatory surgical center (ASC) with 8 anesthesia rooms Specialty: Orthopedic anesthesia, regional anesthesia techniques Start Date: Target start April 1, 2026 (initial 3/2/2026 availability) End Date / Duration: Through 12/31/2027; up to 96 weeks as needed Schedule: Day shift - 5 shifts/week, 8-hour shifts (03:00 AM - 11:00 AM), 36 hours/week Charting System: iPro MD Supervision: Yes (approx. 1:5 MD to CRNA ratio) Qualifications (CRNA Requirements) Current license as a registered professional nurse (RN); CRNA credential (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) preferred Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program Minimum 1 year of experience as a CRNA; orthopedic anesthesia experience preferred Full-time locum availability (minimum 4 weeks/month required) Ability to obtain facility privileges within 30 days Strong communication, teamwork, and perioperative collaboration skills Key Responsibilities Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and verify informed consent for orthopedic surgical patients Discuss anesthetic options, risks, and perioperative plans with patients and the surgical team Induce, maintain, and emerge patients from anesthesia for orthopedic procedures Provide physiologic monitoring and timely interventions throughout cases Perform regional anesthesia techniques (as credentialed) for orthopedic cases Document anesthesia care accurately and timely in the iPro charting system Collaborate closely with supervising MDs, surgeons, nursing staff, and perioperative team members Why Fort Myers, FL?
