Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Telemetry 4 Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are better + together Work location: Texas Health Fort Worth, 1304 Pennsylvania Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76104 Work hours: Full-time, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hours shifts, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am, every other weekend and rotating holidays Department highlights: + 25-bed Cardiac Telemetry + Our Unit provides intermediate/telemetry level of care for CABG, MVR, TAVR, heart-failure, post-operative interventional cardiac care (Stents, Angioplasty, Cardiac Catheter) patients. + 815-bed MAGNET facility + Level I Trauma Center + Primary Heart Attack Center PHAC + The department prides itself in high performing staff with excellent critical thinking skills + Self-Scheduling that helps with work/life balance as well as opportunities for educational and career growth + Robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and engaged leadership team Here's what you need: + Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN preferred + CLIAFE - must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency required + Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire + BCLS prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required + ACLS within 90 days of hire required expiration date greater than 3 months preferred + CPI Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire + 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required + 1-year Tele experience preferred - will consider Med/Surg experience In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will + demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment. + maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients + possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism + have basic computer skills using medical management application systems What You Will Do Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Processassesses the patientplans the care of the patientintervenes as appropriateevaluates the effectiveness of interventionsIncorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for informationMaintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers Additional perks of being a Texas Health Nurse + Benefits include 401k, PTO, medical, dental, Paid Parental Leave, flex spending, tuition reimbursement, student Loan forgiveness as well as several other benefits. + Delivery of high quality of patient care through nursing education, nursing research and innovations in nursing practice. + Strong Unit Based Council (UBC). + A supportive, team environment with outstanding opportunities for growth
