Job Description

Maintenance Technician Perform complicated building maintenance, service and repairs on commercial kitchen equipment, HVAC, and Electrical with limited to no supervision, relying on experience and judgment. Essential Functions: Perform and/or lead maintenance, service and repairs in the areas of skilled trades. Perform all work orders and preventative maintenance tasks for buildings and kitchen equipment and complete required reports. Basic operation of building automation and HVAC equipment. Follow and adhere to all standard operating procedures (SOP) for facilities maintenance. Maintain assigned equipment/work areas in good, clean and safe operational condition. Utilize and maintain order of all inventory, supplies, and tools related to maintenance department. Cross train coworkers in special skills as need arises. Provide essential feedback to supervisor on equipment and building functions. Maintain safety standards according to trade industry and OSHA standards. Support all scheduled events as envisioned by Ansley members. Seek education and training to maintain and improve quality skills. Attend & participate in assigned staff meetings, training classes, etc. Perform special projects and other duties as required Requirements: Critical Skills / Core Competencies: Requires 3-5 years' experience in the skilled trade Prior experience as project leader, highly desirable Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the field Skilled in use of hand tools of the trade Must possess a valid and clear driving record Reasoning Abilities / Physical Demands: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. While performing the duties of the job, employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; talk or hear and taste or smell. Employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds. Vision abilities include close, distance, & peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
