Cash Application Specialist We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Portland, Oregon. In this long-term contract position, you will focus on accurately processing cash applications, collaborating with internal teams, and maintaining efficient workflows. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment! Responsibilities: Accurately apply cash payments, including vendor checks, into Excel using pre-established macros. Process and code lockbox deposits promptly and resolve discrepancies. Communicate with customers to address payment issues and ensure proper application. Collaborate with credit and accounts receivable teams to resolve misapplied cash transactions. Address ad-hoc requests and provide support for cash application-related inquiries. Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company procedures. Assist with the transition to lockbox services, ensuring a smooth process. Requirements: Proven experience in cash applications and payment processing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including familiarity with macros. Solid understanding of accounts receivable processes and aging accounts. Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate and resolve issues with customers. Experience in collaborating with internal teams to address payment discrepancies. Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
