Job Title: Telemetry Technician (Night/ Day Shift – Contract) Location: Long Island City, NY, 11102 Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks) Shift: Night / Days Hours: 34.5 hours per week (11.5 hours/day, 3 days per week) Schedule: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM / 7 AM to 7:30 PM Pay : $33 to $37 (hourly) Key Responsibilities: Perform continuous ECG monitoring and accurately interpret cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias. Identify, recognize, and respond promptly to life-threatening cardiac rhythm changes. Initiate emergency codes and record cardiac rhythms during code events. Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs/EKGs) with proper electrode placement. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with telemetry monitoring and medical equipment. Communicate clearly and effectively with charge nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary care teams. Enter, verify, and manage patient orders within the computer system. Retrieve, review, and escalate laboratory results as clinically indicated. Ensure accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Safely manage, operate, and maintain telemetry and related medical equipment. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent (required). Active BLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross), valid within one year (required). Dysrhythmia Certification (required). Proven clinical experience as a Telemetry Technician / Monitor Technician (required). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency department environment. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
