Purchasing Agent

Purchasing Agent Medallion Plastics (a division of Patrick Industries) is currently seeking a full-time Purchasing Agent. The Purchasing Agent is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required for company operations. This role ensures timely procurement of quality materials at competitive prices while maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting inventory and budget goals. Responsibilities: Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery time, and reliability Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with vendors Create, review, and process purchase orders Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment to avoid shortages or overstock Track and resolve issues related to deliveries, discrepancies, or damaged goods Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and specifications Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Strong negotiation and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 preferred Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Location: Elkhart, Indiana, US, 46516 Work Arrangement: on-site Business Unit: Medallion Plastics Inc Nearest Major Market: Elkhart Nearest Secondary Market: South Bend
