Description & Details: The Team Leader's primary function is to assist the State Forester in advancing the mission of the North Dakota Forest Service. The Team Leader is responsible for the leadership, administrative and management functions of the "Administration" team. The team is responsible for performing all administrative functions including fiscal, personnel, and office management for the Office of the State Forester. The unit also provides information and education, public relations and staff forester support for the entire agency. The Team Leader reports to the State Forester, supervises the employees assigned to the unit, and is a member of the Leadership Council. Duties include budget preparation, grants and contracts oversight, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, information technology planning, program planning, monitoring and evaluation. Core competencies necessary to perform work successfully include: leadership and conflict management; collaboration and teamwork; communications and customer service; professionalism and accountability; strategic thinking and decision-making; continuous improvement and performance management. Work Location: Fargo, Bismarck, Grand Forks, Bottineau, Lisbon, or other location statewide. Possibility of Remote Work location. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 40 hours per week Hiring Range: $80,000-$104,000 Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 3 years of administrative experience. or, associate's degree in business administration or related emphasis with 5 years of administrative experience, or, seven years of equivalent experience Valid North Dakota Driver's License Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor degree in Business Administration or related emphasis Accounting and business management Public relations Computer technology Knowledge and experience with PeopleSoft software Experience with North Dakota state budget and the state budget process Familiarity with North Dakota state government policies and/or North Dakota University System policies Core Competencies: Requires excellent communication skills both oral and written; knowledge of administrative procedures and office management; computer technology and Microsoft computer software (to include: PeopleSoft, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Publisher and PowerPoint, Outlook); office equipment including email, internet, and scanner; leadership and conflict management; collaboration and teamwork; communications and customer service; professionalism and accountability; strategic thinking and decision-making; continuous improvement and performance management.
