Doctor of Medicine | Administration Location: Virginia, VA Employer: VieMed Healthcare Staffing Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Locum - Physician - General Medicine VA Join a vital mission to serve our nation's Veterans as a Locum Physician in General Medicine. This dynamic role offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact through non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments across various locations in Virginia. If you are a dedicated medical professional with a background in general medicine, this position provides an excellent avenue to utilize your expertise while enjoying competitive compensation and comprehensive support. Required Skills: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school State medical license in Virginia or eligible for licensing Previous experience in general medicine, internal medicine, family medicine, or related fields Strong interview and physical assessment skills, including muscle strength and range of motion testing Ability to perform quick, thorough evaluations within a structured setting Excellent organizational skills for documentation and reporting Nice to Have Skills: Experience with Compensation & Pension exams or veteran healthcare Familiarity with VA or government healthcare protocols Certification in related specialties or additional certifications such as DMA Preferred Education and Experience: Medical degree from an accredited institution Minimum of 2 years clinical practice in general medicine Prior experience in performing non-treatment exams or assessments is advantageous Other Requirements: Must own and operate a private office space for evaluations Ability to work on a PRN basis, including half-day or full-day shifts Travel is included within rates; no additional reimbursement for certifications or portal training Compliant with all applicable licensure, certification, and administrative obligations Availability for flexible scheduling, including weekdays as specified Earn competitive hourly pay at $624.00 with options for half-day or full-day shifts, plus a one-time bonus of $650 upon completing training and first exams.
