Quality Inspector

Quality Control Inspector Responsibilities: Ensure work area is safe, organized and clean. Ensure all measurement equipment is operational and calibrated. Verify incoming material, hardware and components; (Cert verification/visual condition/physical measurements) Performs FAI in accordance with AS9102C. Dimensional Inspection to include physical variable measurements, visual inspection and verification operational completeness. Keen attention to detail. First part verification. Performs in process inspection. Final inspection prior to shipping to end customer or inventory. Documents inspection results. Dispositions nonconformance's in ERP system. Collaborate with production team and management on quality related issues. Competency Requirements: Proficiency with Precision Measuring Tools & Gauges Proficient in drawing interpretation, weld symbols, visual inspection for defects and some GD&T interpretation may be required. Meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical & problem-solving skills, Root cause analysis, accountability, communication (written/verbal), critical thinking, ability to work under pressure. MS Office. Ability to read, write, and converse in English. Desired: 3-5 years experience in inspection role with proficiency of inspection tools. 2+ years related experience within sheet metal manufacturing environment or 5+ years related experience within a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience and understanding of ISO9001, AS9100, and AS9102. Knowledge of basic statistical process control. Experience with ERP systems is a plus. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift forty pounds without assistance on occasions. Must be able to sit, stand and move around continuously.
