Health Unit Coordinator (Solid Organ Abdominal Transplant, 5 South) Under the direction of the manager or designee supports the functions of the unit/area by performing receptionist and clerical duties. Responsibilities include: Maintaining the medical record in good form. Communicating effectively using established systems/protocols. Communicating effectively with ancillary departments. Maintaining unit supplies/forms appropriately. Assuming responsibility for professional development of self and contributing to and assisting with the professional development of others. Other duties may be assigned. Minimum Requirements: Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent. Experience: No experience required. Licensure: None Physical Demands: Job requires sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; attention to detail and ability to write legibly; ability to lift/push/pull less than 20lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. Position Compensation Range: $14.20 - $28.40 Hourly The University of Virginia is an equal opportunity employer.
