Construction Manager

Construction Manager The Construction Manager will serve as the primary owner's representative on-site, overseeing all aspects of construction to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provide oversight of the construction and closeout phases of work. Manage weekly progress (OAC) meetings, progress of the work for compliance with schedules, monitor project documentation (RFIs, change proposals, etc.) Provide on-site quality assurance of work. Coordinate owner held contracts. Must have good understanding of public procurement procedures, design and construction processes. On site visits to construction projects is required. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science/Management, Architecture or Engineering is required (relevant field construction management experience in place of education may be considered) Minimum of 8 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager; experience with facility or institutional projects strongly preferred. Strong understanding of contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements. Knowledge of design-phase management, building codes, and permitting agencies. Proficiency in project controls, scheduling, estimating, cost management, and documentation. Experience with K12 projects (renovations and new buildings) is required. Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally. Must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, project management information systems (PMIS) and Bluebeam. OSHA 30-hour certification preferred. Certification as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM), registration as a Professional Engineer (PE or EIT) or registered Architect (RA) is desired, but not required.
