Location: St. Louis area, on-site Candidates must be within commuting distance; relocation is not available for this role Summary: The Cost Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for new and existing products, projects, and processes across The H-J Family of Companies. This role involves detailed analysis of materials, labor, and processes, as well as ongoing support to Sales & Marketing, Production, Finance, and Purchasing. The Cost Estimator will also manage related ERP (EPICOR) tasks, support engineering change processes, and ensure cost data accuracy to drive informed business decisions. Essential Functions Prepare cost estimates for new business, PQIs, parts, and projects. Perform cost analysis on existing products and processes. Process ECNs, evaluating cost and operational impact. Maintain accurate BOMs, routers, and pricing in EPICOR ERP (EPICOR Kinetic a plus). Assign and review drafting work, read/interpret blueprints. Conduct time studies to verify machining and assembly rates. Create spreadsheets and reports for cost analysis. Requirements Cost estimating or manufacturing experience preferred. EPICOR ERP experience strongly preferred. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Drafting/CAD skills (SolidWorks or similar) a plus. Local candidates onlythis role requires on-site presence and collaboration with production teams. Physical Requirements Office-based with regular interaction on the production floor. Ability to sit, stand, and work at a computer for extended periods. Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.
