Position OverviewWe are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part-Time Remote Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of a growing craft brewery. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate books in QuickBooks, performing detailed account reconciliations,processing payroll, assisting with employee onboarding, managing vendor relationships, supporting customer payment follow-up, and assisting with weekly cash flow monitoring.The ideal candidate is confident in QuickBooks, strong in account reconciliations, proactive in communication, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & QuickBooks:Maintain accurate and up-to-date books in QuickBooksRecord and categorize all financial transactionsPerform monthly bank, credit card, and loan reconciliationsReconcile Undeposited Funds, gift cards, and clearing accountsManage accounts payable and ensure timely vendor paymentsPrepare and issue invoices as neededAssist with monthly close process and reporting supportMaintain organized digital records and documentationAccounts Receivable & Customer Follow-Up:Monitor accounts receivable aging and maintain accurate customer balancesFollow up professionally on outstanding customer paymentsCommunicate with customers regarding past-due invoicesEscalate collection issues to management as appropriateApply customer payments accurately within QuickBooksPayroll & HR AdministrationProcess payroll accurately and on scheduleCoordinate with payroll provider and ensure compliance with tax filingsManage employee onboarding (I-9s, W-4s, direct deposit setup, new hire reporting)Maintain employee files and payroll recordsTrack PTO balances and assist with benefits administrationSupport offboarding documentation as neededCash Flow & Financial SupportAssist with weekly cash flow tracking and reportingTrack merchant deposits and POS settlementsSupport inventory and deposit reconciliations (including keg deposits)Vendor & Administrative SupportManage vendor relationships and respond to accounting-related inquiriesEnsure vendor W-9s and compliance documentation are on fileMonitor and manage incoming accounting and vendor emailsAssist with insurance certificates and license tracking as neededQualifications3+ years of bookkeeping experience (hospitality or brewery experience preferred)Strong proficiency in QuickBooksDemonstrated experience with detailed account reconciliationsExperience processing payroll independentlyWorking knowledge of payroll compliance requirementsStrong Excel skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environmentProfessional written and verbal communication skillsWhat Success Looks LikeClean, reconciled books delivered monthlyAccurate and timely payroll processingOrganized and efficient onboarding processClear visibility into accounts receivable and cash flowMinimal cleanup required at month endThis part-time position is not eligible for company benefits.-- EQUAL OPPORTUNITIESOuter Range Brewing Co. is committed to eliminate racism, sexism and all forms of discrimination.
