Payroll Specialist Sunny Sky Products prides itself on our commitment and dedication to creating, manufacturing and delivering top quality products in the beverage industry. We have generated an extensive product portfolio that includes frozen dispensed beverages, cold dispensed, hot dispensed and beverage enhancers. The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for employees in a food and beverage manufacturing environment. This role focuses on day-to-day payroll operations, ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws while supporting a diverse workforce that includes hourly production employees, shift-based roles, and salaried staff. Key Responsibilities Process weekly, bi-weekly, or semi-monthly payroll for hourly and salaried employees. Review and validate timecard data, including overtime, shift premiums, weekend pay, holiday pay, and production-based incentives. Ensure accurate payroll adjustments for new hires, terminations, promotions, pay rate changes, and retroactive pay. Administer payroll deductions, including benefits, garnishments, taxes, and voluntary deductions. Support payroll processing for union employees in accordance with CBAs, including wage scales and special pay rules. Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure data integrity between HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems. Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Assist with payroll tax filings, reconciliations, and year-end activities such as W-2 processing. Support audits by providing payroll documentation and reports. Collaborate with HR and Operations to ensure accurate tracking of attendance, PTO, sick leave, and FMLA. Prepare standard payroll reports for management, finance, and plant leadership. Assist with system testing, upgrades, and process improvements. Required Skills/Abilities/Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 35 years of payroll experience, ideally within a manufacturing or food and beverage environment. Experience processing payroll for hourly employees with complex pay rules. Working knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour compliance, and payroll tax requirements. Proficiency with payroll and timekeeping systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Kronos, Paychex). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Strong customer service and communication skills.
