The scheduler is responsible for: Effectively and efficiently addressing the needs of both internal and external customers when scheduling patients by carefully collecting demographic, insurance, and procedure information Accurately scheduling procedures Delivering complex clinical examination instructions Documenting patient response to clinical questions Keeping the patient's physician and hospital offices current with information about their scheduled procedures Schedulers must be familiar with payer guidelines for balancing authorization requirements with scheduled appointment dates Performing general clerical support that includes answering telephones, data entry, communication, and other assigned duties Being flexible and willing to rotate shifts periodically Being able to travel within the BayCare Health System area using personal transportation Education High School or Equivalent Experience Required 1 year customer service or 1 year healthcare or 1 year business related Equal Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled
