Now Hiring: Satellite Assembly Technicians Redmond & Woodinville, WA Direct Placement | Competitive Benefits | Career Growth in Aerospace Pay Rate: $22$35/hr (DOE) Locations: Redmond, WA & Woodinville, WA Available Shifts 1st Shift: MondayFriday, 5:30 AM4:00 PM 2nd Shift: MondayFriday, 3:30 PM2:00 AM Position Overview We are seeking motivated Satellite Assembly Technicians to support the production of next-generation spacecraft and satellite hardware. This hands-on role focuses on precision electro-mechanical assembly, integration, and testing of space-grade components used in high-reliability environments. You will contribute directly to the build of spacecraft structures, solar arrays, battery modules, avionics subassemblies, and flight hardware. Key Responsibilities Assemble small electrical and mechanical satellite sub-assemblies Integrate aerospace components, modules, and full vehicle systems Install PCBAs into satellite chassis and enclosures Build battery cell modules and assemble solar modules/arrays Perform wire harness routing, termination, and continuity checks Solder/desolder SMT and through-hole components (per IPC/J-STD standards) Support conformal coating, epoxy work, masking, and detailed process steps Execute functional testing, including setup, instrumentation, and teardown Operate/troubleshoot automated and semi-automated assembly equipment Assist in developing prototype test capabilities for spacecraft hardware Install test equipment, sensors, and data acquisition systems Maintain calibration schedules for lab tools and fixtures Perform preventive maintenance on test and DAQ equipment Track consumables, assist with documentation, and identify test needs Set up and execute tests across thermal, shock, vibration, and thermal-vacuum regimes Manage daily workloads and work independently to meet build deadlines Required Skills & Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and process docs Comfortable using Windows, Microsoft Office, and digital work instructions Good communication skills and strong organizational habits Must be able to work overtime as needed High school diploma or GED Preferred Qualifications 1+ year experience in electro-mechanical, aerospace, or precision assembly Familiarity with satellite hardware, wire harnessing, and sub-assembly integration Knowledge of IPC-610, IPC-620, J-STD-001, and aerospace soldering standards Experience in high-reliability manufacturing or prototype environments IPC/J-STD certifications (highly desirable) Hands-on experience with soldering and flight-quality workmanship Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Woodinville, WA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45760.00 - $72800.00/yr.
