Veterinary Technican / RVT

What we're looking for: Registered Veterinary Technician with 1-2 years of experience working in a veterinary hospital setting. Skills required: Currently registered with the California Veterinary Medical Board Effective communication skills knowledge of vaccination protocols, pharmacology, nutrition and animal husbandry and care Must be able to assist in surgery, collect samples take dental digital xrays, and radio graphs for the body able to assist veterinarian in restraint of animal, care of animal including surgical prep and dental prophylaxis Technician must be able to educate clients of the care and condition of their pet Knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment needed, and operation of the equipment Skills preferred: calm when under pressure Pleasant, courteous, and polite to clients and co workers. excellent customer service, able to explain medical conditions and terms to clients.
