CDL-A Delivery Driver (Tractor Trailer) Salary Range: $31.00 - $36.50 Hourly Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Day Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: Road Warrior Category: Transportation Description Summary: Drives truck with a capacity of more than 25 tons, to transport materials to and from specified destinations, by performing the following duties. Salary Range: $31.00-$36.50/hr Most employees start between $31.00 and $33.75. The higher end of the range, $36.50, is reserved for candidates with exceptional experience or qualifications. Actively participate in Seaport Steel's safety program. Check boards for loads Inspect truck Inspect material ensuring it matches shipping paperwork Decide if the load is road ready Adjust load for safety and availability Secure load Deliver and pick up material based on the routing Uses time efficiently. Treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality. Completes work in a timely manner. Qualifications Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education/Experience: CDL Class A driver's license and completed truck driving courses with a certificate of completion with at least two-year related experiences and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to add and subtract and read a tape measure Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Eroad software or the willingness to learn. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
