Service Plumber Technician Job Description As a Plumbing Technician, you will perform a range of plumbing services, from simple faucet repairs to water heater installations and plumbing system replacements. You will work in commercial and residential buildings, providing top-notch service to our clients. Responsibilities Respond promptly to customer service calls and conduct thorough inspections of plumbing issues. Accurately diagnose problems, offer effective solutions and estimates, and successfully close service sales. Install and repair various plumbing fixtures, including sinks, toilets, bathtubs, water heaters, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners. Conduct sewer and drain cleaning services in diverse environments such as basements, roofs, confined spaces, and close quarters. Ensure thorough cleaning and restoration of work sites to meet pre-job conditions. Prepare invoices, total costs of services/products provided, and collect payment. Explain company guarantees both in writing and on a provided smartphone. Collect payment and proceed to the next service call. Additional Skills & Qualifications Valid driver's license. Experience in sales of plumbing products and services. Excavation Certification through Competent Person Training (OSHA requirement) within the first year. Journeyman license or equivalent certification as specified by the state. Backflow certifications (company will assist in obtaining). OSHA 10 certification (company will assist in obtaining). You'll be on the road all day, conducting service calls. Shifts are fixed once started, either Sunday - Thursday or Tuesday - Saturday, with varying morning, swing, or graveyard shifts. Clock in as soon as you leave home each morning and receive 70 cents per mile for travel. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of East Palo Alto, CA.
