Human Resources Coordinator Join the leader in asphalt and concrete restoration HR generalist opportunity. We are currently looking for a skilled and motivated Human Resources (HR) Coordinator to join our team. This position will provide administrative support to the HR team by assisting with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the HR functions. Key responsibilities include: Leading the onboarding process for new hires, providing a welcoming and informative introduction to the organization. Coordinating with internal teams to schedule and facilitate all onboarding components, including Safety Orientation, Field Tours, and Flagger training. Reviewing and updating onboarding materials to reflect changes in policies, benefits, and organizational information. Entering and maintaining new hire data within the HRIS and providing employee support regarding system access and functionality. Responding to applicant and employee inquiries regarding company policies, benefits, and hiring procedures. Advising employees on healthcare and retirement benefit plans, facilitating benefit program orientations, and effectively communicating with employees to address questions, provide guidance, and ensure understanding of available options and compliance requirements. Creating, maintaining, and auditing accurate personnel files, Driver Qualification files, and other required records and documentation. Entering and updating employee information in HRIS system and generating reports as needed. Administering employee referral and sign-on bonus programs in accordance with company policy. Providing recruitment support through candidate interviews, background checks, employment verifications, participation in job fairs, and maintenance of the applicant tracking system. Responding to employee inquiries regarding payroll and timekeeping discrepancies. Assisting with internal and external audits to ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulations. Providing administrative support to the Human Resources and Safety departments. Maintaining working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and reporting requirements impacting Human Resources functions. Performing administrative tasks including answering phones, greeting visitors, and providing support to other departments within the organization. Qualifications include: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related degree; or 2+ year's related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience using a Human Resource Information System (HRIS). Ability to learn and understand applicable local, state and federal regulations. Strong attention to detail, highly organized and able to manage competing priorities. Positive attitude with excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Customer service mindset with the ability to provide responsive and professional support to employees and applicants. Ability to protect confidential information. Advanced knowledge of MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, and other software programs. Why join AA Asphalting?
