Accounts Payable Specialist

Accounts Payable Specialist TPG Hotels & Resorts is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist! This position will be based at our headquarters office in McKinney, TX! Responsible for reviewing and processing vendor invoices of assigned properties in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Responsible for payments of all invoices in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. Follows established deadlines to ensure delivery of reports in compliance with management policies and procedures. Daily: Enter, review, and post vendor invoices received for the properties, Staff Accountants, or Corporate Process vendor payments online or by phone when instructed by the Staff Accountants Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements Enter and update vendor information, always obtaining a W9 Respond to email correspondence regarding invoices and payment transactions with the 3rd party AP Team Weekly: Cut checks and stuff for mailing Track postage in the Quarterly Postage Spreadsheet Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted Generate reports detailing accounts payables status Monthly: Enter, post, and pay Occupancy & Sales Tax payments received from the Staff Accountants Enter and post monthly invoices CMIT, M3, Iron Mountain, Timeco Close accounting period for managed properties in M3 after all AP has been posted according to the Corporate Close Schedule Year End: Year-end processing includes review of vendors for 1099 purposes. Obtaining any needed vendor information regarding 1099's. All other duties as assigned.
