An HR intern is responsible for assisting the HR department with a variety of tasks. These may include conducting research, planning and organizing events, managing data and records, and providing administrative support. HR intern also assists with special projects or initiatives. The specific minimum competencies needed to perform the essential duties of the job include knowledge, skills, abilities, level of education, and experience necessary for successful performance. These competencies are generally demonstrated through specific service, education, or training. Knowledge: 0-3 years of relevant work experience. An interest and aptitude to work in Human Resources. Ability to quickly adapt or learn new technology. Ability to simultaneously work and navigate within multiple programs. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently. Must have a strong customer first mindset. Must be able to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast-paced environment. Must be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload. Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases preferred. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Proficiency in Microsoft platform required, Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook. Level of Education: Actively pursuing bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field. Essential Duties and Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time. Complete assignments/special projects as assigned by HR team members. Update HRIS and other systems with new employee information. Various tasks around onboarding and offboarding of employees. Complete new hire paperwork audit and other identified compliance tasks Audit employee emergency contacts and phone numbers. Participate in employee engagement committee and activities. Update job description template and convert existing job descriptions. Develop Best Practice on writing inclusive job descriptions. Screen resumes and conduct candidate phone screens with recruitment team support. Prepare HR-related reports as needed. Other Responsibilities: Focus on achieving our Company mission.
