College Intern -Command Center and Utility Services

COMMAND CENTER & UTILITY SERVICES The Metropolitan District is a non-profit municipal corporation chartered by the Connecticut General Assembly in 1929 to provide potable water and sewerage services on a regional basis. Today, the MDC provides quality water supply, water pollution control, mapping, and household hazardous waste collection to eight member municipalities - Bloomfield, East Hartford, Hartford, Newington, Rocky Hill, West Hartford, Wethersfield and Windsor - and to portions of other towns in the region. The Command Center and Utility Services is looking to hire full-time (40 hours/week) college interns for the MDC's summer internship program. The Intern will be assigned to the company's Command Center or Utility Services department in Hartford, CT The program will begin on June 1, 2026, and end on July 31, 2026 The MDC seeks to enhance the diversity of its workforce. EOE/AA/M/F/D/V QUALIFICATIONS College student currently enrolled in a BA, BS or Associate's program, majoring in business or communications. Prior customer service experience preferred. The selected intern must possess a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office. Candidate must possess strong verbal & written communication skills. Candidate should be self-motivated, well organized, responsible and have the ability to work well with others.
