As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a food and beverage production location, you will manage access control by verifying credentials, issuing badges, and directing visitors and contractors. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production and/or distribution location. Control access at entry points by checking identification and/or badges, issuing temporary credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing guests, employees, and contractors to appropriate check-in areas. Screen and/or verify inbound and outbound deliveries and service providers by confirming appointments, paperwork, and authorized access prior to entry to help to deter unauthorized access. Monitor access control systems and security-related alarms, and respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations through the proper channels. Minimum Requirements: Have 1+ years of security-related experience. Be 21+ years of age. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
