Logistics Management Specialist The Office of the Secretary of Defense, Office of the USD for Acquisition and Sustainment, is seeking a senior Life Cycle Logistician to develop, coordinate, implement, and execute actionable Regional Sustainment Strategy opportunities for International and Strategic Logistics initiatives with Allies and Partner Nations, Military Department, and Industry (US and Partner Nations). This position serves as a senior Life Cycle Logistician developing, coordinating, implementing, and executing actionable Regional Sustainment Strategy opportunities for International and Strategic Logistics initiatives with Allies and Partner Nations, Military Department, and Industry (US and Partner Nations). Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Develop creative solutions to barriers to logistics operations in support of on-going operations or planning for future contingency operations. Develop a Regional Sustainment Framework (RSF) "dashboard" for progress tracking of regional sustainment strategies (RSS) and develop analytical products (metrics, weighted prioritization models, etc). Develop/influence policy and training by understanding where RSF impact OSW policy, coordinate with policymakers to update policy to enable RSF. Work with Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) and Warfighter Acquisition University (WAU), and other learning institutions to build necessary training for workforce implementing RSF. In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. You may qualify at the NH-IV level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-III grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to 1. Develop and implement international logistics policies by translating front-end concepts into actionable Regional Sustainment Strategies (RSS) and policy guidance.; AND 2. Lead complex analytical research studies to optimize global sustainment programs, apply analytical frameworks and quantitative methods to develop new policies that optimize supply chains and increase product support efficiency.; AND 3. Manage a wide range of complex logistics and sustainment issues by directing collaboration across diverse groups including senior military, civilian, and contractor personnel. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. This position requires a Life Cycle Logistics, Advanced acquisition certification. The incumbent has 48 months to achieve this certification.
