Production Technician (Machine Operator) - Blow Molding

Blow Mold Production Technician The Blow Mold Production Technician monitors automated production equipment, maintains supply of production materials, inspects parts, operates forklift, and various other tasks, all with a major emphasis on quality and safety. Duties/Responsibilities: Operates production machinery in accordance with specifications Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance Understands the processing aspects of equipment, performs quality checks, and reports any defects to shift Leadership and QA Performs bottle testing procedures and enters data into SPC collection center Makes processing adjustments to the machine as needed Maintains logs and records of units produced including a record of errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area Performs other related duties as assigned Required Skills/Abilities: Ability to follow directions and work well in a team Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations Interested in Continuous Improvement and able to thrive in a self-directed environment Education and Experience: HS Diploma/GED Required. Three years of relevant experience (one employer) may be substituted At least one year of related experience preferred Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods working on feet Must be able push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced
