The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is a federally recognized Indian Tribe located in Palm Springs, California, with 32,000 acres of reservation lands that spread across Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, and into the Santa Rosa and San Jacinto mountains. The Tribe currently owns and operates two 18-hole championship golf courses, 3 casinos located in Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, and downtown Palm Springs, two world class spas, and a fuel station. Job Description Summary In coordination with the Director of Construction responsible for managing the completion of the design and coordinating the construction and remolding of medium to large scale hospitality construction projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs. Oversee budgets, including tracking metrics. Coordinate construction at facilities, including arrival of equipment, personnel needed. Monitor progress, issue progress payments. Make inspections as necessary to insure conformity to plans and specifications. Advise contractors and company personnel of inspection results. Discuss and resolve problems regarding deviations from plans. Maintain schedule and budget of job, by initiating and attending meetings with contractors, engineers, architects, and clients. Identify and promptly notify management of issues impacting project schedule and/or budget. Manage and conduct "value engineering" at required milestones in order to maintain project budget. Assist in hiring and managing sub-contractors. Qualifications Education and/or Experience High School Diploma or GED; 3-5 years Construction Industry project management experience. Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Word, and Outlook; experience with construction software Timberline preferred. Experience working in Casino Gaming environment preferred. Must have knowledge and experience in commercial building. Knowledge of hospitality or commercial construction practices, processes, design, finance, and management. Able to communicate and manage complex concepts, business unit/corporate vision and strategy to colleagues and clients; performs active listening. Advanced personal computer skills including current administrative, financial, and scheduling software or similar products. Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting, use standard office equipment, including computer, attend meetings at various sites on and off the Reservation; to inspect various work, buildings, construction sited or land development sites; strength to lift and carry materials and equipments up to 25 pounds. Noise in the work environment is usually moderate.
