Customer Service Representative Gateway Terminal, part of Enstructure's national network, is a leading marine logistics provider in the Port of New Haven. We offer integrated services for dry bulk, liquid bulk, and breakbulk cargo across 22 terminals nationwide. Summary Of Position: Responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable relationships with customers on behalf of the company by taking personal and professional responsibility for each customer contact and by ensuring all customer requirements are completely met promptly and courteously. Essential Duties And Responsibilities: Communicate directly with warehouse, keeping frequent and clear communication to facilitate the best and most efficient business practices Be the first point of contact for all customer incoming traffic (via phone, email, fax, etc.) and respond to these requests/inquiries in a timely fashion. Prepare documentation for the packing and dispatch of orders by the warehouse coordinators. Maintain accurate recordkeeping of databases and files (electronic and hard copies) Coordinate and attend regular company meetings or video, teleconference with the office manager and warehouse coordinator, and accommodate international time zones Educational Requirements & Competencies: High school or equivalent Computer proficiency with MS Excel and Word Must demonstrate a commitment to excellent customer service and always portray a professional image. Must have great attention to detail Extremely reliable & conscientious Able to work independently with limited supervision & maintain a professional attitude Is focused, not easily distracted, and is motivated to work with an ethical business Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively Ability to work with a team Capable of performing multiple tasks concurrently. Ability to work overtime during the week or on weekends when necessary Good understanding of warehouse operations. Intermediate skill level in Word and Excel. Self-starter and willing to research and resolve problems.
