Veterinary Technician For Oncology Team Pet Emergency & Referral Center is looking to add a veterinary technician to their Oncology team. The Emergency service is staffed by seasoned Veterinarians to provide high quality medical care to our patients around the clock, while working within a culture of true teamwork and collaboration with the Specialty departments, who offer referral and continued care for critically ill patients. Oncology Technician duties include, but are not limited to: Advanced venipuncture, phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, and nursing care of hospitalized patients Performing in-house laboratory or diagnostic tests Anesthetic induction, monitoring, and assisting with emergency and/or surgical procedures The Ideal Candidate: Minimum 3 years of previous Veterinary experience required, LVT or CVT preferred but not required Prior Oncology experience in administrating Chemotherapy agents with advanced and proven excellent venipuncture skills will be prioritized Ability to manage patients under anesthesia or sedation, with experience calculating medical dosages independently Ability to critically think and maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations Flexibility to work in different areas of the hospital (Cross Training) Dependable, Knowledgeable, Experienced, Detail Oriented Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus.
