Production Crew Chief

Production Foreman The Production Foreman is responsible for leading employees, scheduling work activities, ensuring quality of workmanship, training and educating employees on safety guidelines, company policies, and production equipment. Responsible for productivity and quality management. Recommends equipment upgrades, staffing adjustments, process modifications. This position reports to the Production Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Execute production schedule Execute instructions as given by the Production Manager Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Interview, train, and coach new employees. Is actively engaged in solving problems as they arise. Maximize output throughout the department on all equipment Ensure that product being produced meets all quality standards Directs and supervises the work of multiple employees across multiple departments. Ensure that all steps are being made to ensure inventory integrity and accuracy Establish and maintain an environment that promotes teamwork Tracks and follows up on completed production forms and reports Works with Maintenance department to facilitate repair of equipment. Ensures employees maintain a neat and orderly working environment. Coordinates manpower requirements by increasing or decreasing personnel and overtime to meet changing conditions. Recommends measures to improve safety, production methods and quality of product. Develops and implements plans to motivate workers to achieve goals. Required Qualifications Be a problem solver; implement improvements throughout the department Previous experience of managing a medium sized team of employees Previous experience in a production environment Good time management and proven multi-tasking skills Must be capable of coordinating a complex work flow across multiple departments Demonstrates initiative, sense of urgency and is self-motivated when addressing work tasks Ability to coach, counsel, train, and discipline employees in a respectful manner Ability to work flexible shifts and hours including nights and weekends. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma/GED Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, wet conditions, extreme heat, fumes and airborne particles, toxic and caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move throughout the facility including on uneven terrain. Duties also require moving items up to 50lbs. The schedule for this position is a 7p-7a on a 2-2-3 rotation. Training on first shift is required.
